Special Olympics 2015

Thursday calls for volunteering! I helped out for the Special Olympics. We were welcoming the German delegates to Monterey Park. It was fun! They were very nice and a few knew how to say my name right! I felt so honored!! They were so so nice!!
I was working at the volunteer and media sign-in area. Later on I got to be a yogurt girl and fan girl and pass yogurt and fans out to the German delegates. It got so hot though, but at least I put my hair up. I got to be with my friends as well, which was a bonus. It was nice to help out today and meet different people from another country. I got darker though! But it's worth it. I got to hang out with my friends that I haven't since school ended too. It was nice to help out for the event considering MPK is the host town this year. It's nice to be a part of it.

So pretty! Simple and beautiful.

My lovely friend Lisa took this one with my phone. At first I didn't want to leave my post to take pictures even though it would only be like two, three feet away. Haha. So I asked her. (: She's amazing.

Another Adventure

It's Wednesday! My father took the day off and brought me to Griffith Observatory. We didn't know there would be a hiking trail there so we surprised to find it there when we waited for the place to be open at 10 A.M. I was not wearing proper shoes for hiking, but we still hiked a bit. We didn't hike too much because it be dangerous for us. One misplace foot and... well you know... Let's not mention it. Anyways, so after hiking we headed to the observatory.
I was one obsessed little girl for the solar system. Despite how these years I haven't touched much upon the subject as much, I still will always love the solar system. I learned much about the Sun today and loved how each planet had a little description with a weighing of yourself on each planet. So much fun! I weighed almost nothing on Pluto! Even though it's not a planet anymore, I will always consider it. It just doesn't seem right. I lived through the time when it was considered one. And the saying on how to memorize he planets wouldn't be the and without the "P" in Pluto. So lots of exploring and fun today! Lots of walking too!

OC Fair

Yesterday my dad and I went to the OC Fair. It was so much fun! We went early, at 10 AM. It's cheaper, only $3 admission each. We went around the Blue side first and then we kept walking and looking around the little shops and places. We went to the collection buildings, garden, and the Centennial Farm as well. Then we stumbled upon the Ice Museum. It was so cold in there! Inside the museum was zero degrees! It was worth it though. We got really toasty for just only like 1.5 hours. It was hotter in the morning than in the afternoon. The sun was hiding behind the clouds in the afternoon. Then we went to the main places we wanted to go to, the collections, galleries, and the artwork exhibits indoors. I could have stayed in the artwork exhibits forever. Haha. There were so much to see! I love art. A life without art is nothing. Here are some of the many pictures I took yesterday. Enjoy! Have a good week folks!

Ahh! Here we go!

Omg. So pretty!

Next stop: Ice Museum

Then off we go to the OC Promenade.

Yesterday was National Ice Cream Day! Hope everyone got their fair share of ice cream!

From the Book of Life

Some wood creations. They are just so detailed and so so nice.

Next stop: artwork exhibits

It was called Three Injured Pears.

Another Baby Step

Today was yet another great day. First my dad and I went to watch Jurassic World in the morning. When we got home, we made some sandwiches with some food we had in the refrigerator. After sleeping for some time ( I had a headache from the movies after), I made dinner. I steamed three chicken drumsticks that my mom made, and made some soup. Put a can of chicken broth, a can of corn, and a can of water into the pot and there you go! With an egg inside to top it off to finish the job. It was a good turn out. I'm improving! Making little mile stones this summer and many more to go.

Little Baby Steps

Summer school is over! Today was the last day. Woot woot! Finally have time to start learning to cook more, read up on the driver's handbook, and of course catch up on my sleep. This week, my mom taught me how to cut broccoli and clean it. Boy was I confused on which hand to hold a knife and which to hold the broccoli. I may be left handed, but I write with my right. Weird huh? Sometimes I just use whichever hand feels right.
Today, I got home from school and made packed noodles and an egg all on my own. I was so so happy. It feels so nice to finally be able to cook something. I've always had a hard time turning on the stove cause it's on the right side so I need to use my right hand. My mom was always worried too, so I couldn't practice turning on the stove. But now I did it! For sure I'm going to practice more and make more food. Baby steps. First making rice to packed noodles. And I mean all on my own. Little mile stones. I'm taking it little by little. Eventually I'll be able to cook even the most complicated things in the world. I got my egg to be raw too! The leaky kind! It made my day.

San Diego: Day 4

On the fourth day at San Diego, it was more of a relaxing day. We went to UTC mall. There were many stores to stop by. After shopping for a long time, we went to eat at Veggie Grill for lunch. My sister and I tried the nachos, mac n' cheese, and sweet fries. They were all soo good. Then off we headed for Laguna Niguel to visit my Uncle T and Auntie S. It was so nice of them to ask us if we wanted to stop by to visit along the way. Very thoughtful of my Auntie to think of us and our trip back home would be tough cause of traffic if we went straight home.
We stopped by their place for a bit, and then my Uncle and Auntie took us down to Dana Point Harbor to shopped around a little before heading to eat dinner. There were some knick knack stores there and some snacks shops, such as the candy store. For dinner, we went to The Little Kitchen Asian Cafe. It was good. The waitress was very odd though. She seemed to be always waiting to complete plates and replacing them with new fresh ones. My Auntie didn't even get to finish her whole plate, and the lady took it away... Nevertheless, the place was quite good, and the manager working there was quite nice and funny. It was really nice to have an actual dine in meal with my Uncle and Auntie.
Next stop, Rita's. My first time there, and boy was it good. It was so cold, I was shaking. haha. It was totally worth it though, without a doubt. Then we headed back to their place. I took a bunch of pictures with their stuffed animals at their home! They are so adorable! Two amazing people sharing a common thing togetherI want a house like theirs one day. It was very nice to spend some more quality time with two of my favorite relatives in the world. Laguna Niguel was amazing. I would love to live there if I can't live in San Jose. I even did my summer school project for where I want to live on Laguna Niguel. That way I can live near them and stop by! I can take some of their little stuffed animals home with me (They won't ever know... SHH; it be our little secret). I'll return them a few days later. Their stuffed animals want to go on adventures as well! Thank you Uncle T and Auntie S for a wonderful ending of our little trip up north. It was fantastic. Love you two dearly!

My Uncle and Auntie have too many ice cream desserts at home! I ate a sandwich bar. Hadn't have one of those in a long while.

This one I stole a little taste from my mom. haha. I never seen ice cream served in an orange peel before!
