Fully Fest

Fifth week of college down. In the midst of midterm season, I went to my school's event, Fully Fest, when my friend Kassy invited me yesterday. I joined her and a few of her friends for a girls night out, full of fun and laughter in the cold on a Friday night on campus at the mini carnival. Tearing up on the rides as the wind hits your eyes filled with laughter. It was really fun meeting new friends and taking a break from school work. We even got some free stuff. I will use my Titan beanie soon! After staying out at the event for a while, we went back to the dorms and watched Modern Family. This Titan definitely had a great girls night out with some old and new friends. Now back to work! Stay tuned for more adventures!

Blurred View

Taken on 1/2/17

Walking down a road, looking up to the sky, contemplating about life. Thinking you got everything figured out. Then the world throws wind at you, blowing you left and right. That is the world for you. The world tosses all these questions, ideas, even problems at you, causing you to go off course. Is it a sign? To stray from the path you thought you were suppose to walk upon? Or is the world really putting you back on the right track, that is meant for you? Who knows. Life itself is full of surprises, whether a person likes it or not. There will never be a crystal clear view of what a person's future holds. The view is fizzy, blurry, as if one forgot to put on glasses or contacts for the day. Maybe living in a huge cloud of confusion and questions with a little hint of security and answers every now and then is the right way of living.
I thought I knew what was the right path for me in college, but a gush of wind pulled me back onto the ground, making me think I reached too far for the sky. Possibly planning my entire college career too early. Knowing what to expect is a safe zone for most people, like me included. After the start of this semester, I am wondering maybe a little fog could do me some good. I personally do not love not knowing what is in store for me, heading into a big sea of smog, worrying I will trip and fall. If there is anything I learned in this new semester is that being a little clueless, a little scared, and a little out of your comfort zone is a part of life. Each day is a surprise. Embrace it. Comfort only lasts for so long.
Walk down the same road and look up at the sky for the second time. Seeing unclear? Having a blurry vision? It is okay. A blurry vision could be the best thing ever.

Three Weeks Down, Three Food Stops

Spring semester has come. Three weeks down and probably the roughest three weeks of my second semester at CSUF so far. Lots of realizations, changes, and trying new things in just three weeks. Learning more about myself and my limits in life gradually, but growing with every step of the way in this new journey I like to call the spring path.
With this journey, a little fun every now and then would be good right? Of course! My friends, Andrea and Theresa, and I decided to go on a food adventure. Our first time going out together! It was a great day. First stop was Honey and Butter. I bought an earl grey macaron and a panda shaped macaron with cream filling and fruity pebbles in it. Both were amazing! I loved the earl grey macaron. It has this unique flavor that was so refreshing and relaxing, not too strong all at the same time. Second stop was Raising Canes. I ordered the Three Finger Combo with lemonade, and I got one extra chicken finger! I guess first timer's luck? (:  Third stop was Cauldron Ice Cream. I got the puffle cone with earl grey lavender ice cream shaped in a rose. I guess you can call me a new lover of earl grey flavored foods. The ice cream is extra creamy because it is liquid nitrogen made. Definitely a very full and happy tummy by the end of the third stop.
First food adventure of many more to come. Stay tuned!
