June To Mid-July Recap

Hello everyone! Sorry for being off blogging for so long. Summer courses are officially over and I have been busy getting things ready for Fall semester at CSUF. I've been on two friend hangouts, food adventures (one bad experience), and movie outings. I also was able to go to D23 Expo this year too. I'll explain more about this time period below.

June 6 - Finally had a reunion with my best friend, Kim. We headed to Daikukoya to get lunch and then to Hooshik for some dessert. Both places were her first time there. It was really cool for her and she liked it. We talked for about 5 hours after about 5 months. Definitely not enough time, but no worries! One more hang out before we are off to our second year in college. Crazy how fast one year of college has gone and I am about to start my second real soon. I made the two artworks for her. Just a little something to remember out friendship up in San Francisco and a little encouragement in the nursing field for her. (:

Before summer courses started up, my mom and I went out to eat lunch. No better way to enjoy the summer before summer school starts than with my mumsy and food. Great combo. (:

June 10-11 - Food Places Featured: Phoenix and Bakers and Baristas

During summer classes, my mom and I went out for lunch occasionally on Thursday's or Friday's. On a very great great note, for my theatre course, I watched two plays and saw Andrew Leeds, who played the character, Christopher Pelant in Bones. I saw him at the second play I watched and I thought this guy looked very much like Pelant himself. Tempted to ask, I decided to ask after the show. After the show, I was scared a bit to ask because if it isn't him, that would be embarrassing. I texted my sister and she said just go for it. Nothing to lose. When I got the courage, I couldn't find him, and then later I saw him and asked if he was Andrew Leeds. IT WAS. It was so cool! He is very nice, totally contrary to his character in the show. An amazing actor and it was a privilege to meet him in person.

June 23 - Food Place Featured: Teto Sweets
It was pretty good. The service was alright. The interior design reminded me of the cupcake place, Crushcakes & Cafe, in Santa Barbara.

June 29 - Food Place Featured: Dolci LA

June 30- Food Places Featured: D'Vine, Cinnaholic, and Hapa Cupcakes
I went to Fullerton to do some stuff with my parents and we at lunch there. I am so in love with Mediterranean food. Can you tell? Haha. This Mediterranean food place was an upper class version from Pita Hot, more sophisticated. Both are still wonderful places. Cinnaholic was so good! I liked how it wasn't too sweet. Finally got to try Hapa Cupcakes after doing research on it for an interview/research paper (it was my backup entrepreneur company to interview). I could not taste the green tea flavor, but I will try it again to see how their other cupcakes taste.

July 10-Food Place Featured: Noodle City

July 11- Food Place Featured: Fine Garden
I do not recommend this place. Terrible service and they added money to our bill after we turned in the cash to pay. We noticed the total price was marked up after they returned the change to us. The food was alright too. I will not go back.

July 14 - Food Place Featured: Long Xing Ji
It was really good. I really liked it. First time going.

July 15- Location: D23 Expo. Fifth expo and counting! Huge lines but still had fun!
