The Faceless Man

     There are times when I think people should think a little deeper, a little happier, to make life more enjoyable. I heard a story on a TVB show, On Call 36 小时 2, also called Hippocratic Crush 2, today. I would like to share it with you guys! (: 

     Once upon a time, there was a faceless man, he had no facial features, no weight, no color, just transparent. Because of this, no one would be able to see his presence. Faceless people think life is illusory, so this man asked the angel up above: why should he be thrown into the world? The angel did not show up to answer him, but there was a voice telling him after every experience he faces, he will find his answer. This faceless man first encountered ants. The ants requested him to see the bottomless sea to help find the courage the ant lost and bring it back up. The faceless man was scared himself, but eventually, he jumped into the sea. He swam and swam. He found the courage the ant needed. For the first time ever, the faceless man felt his heart beat. 

     Then he found a withered flower. The withered flower asked him to go over the forest to help her find her lost love. So the faceless man walked into the forest. After many hardships, he finally found love, love to bring back home to the flower. Once the flower got the love, it began to bloom again. The faceless man finally sees the the beauty in the blooming flower. 

     After that, the faceless man encountered a mean lion. The lion says that his kindness fell into the darkness long ago. The faceless man succeeded in helping the lion find the kindness that fell into the darkness of the world. He then found on himself, he has color. 

     After the faceless man encountered many people, from ten, to hundred, to a thousand on his journey. He learned a little bit more each time he encountered someone. He learned to love, to feel, to be kind, and many more! At last, he asked the angel, "What do you look like?" The angel replied,"I look like you." From that point on, the faceless man has the appearance of an angel. 

      This story made me realize that everyone is an angel. (: No one can stop you from being one. It is up to you, to choose the life you want to live. You may not be able to choose the life you are given, but you definitely can choose how to live it.
