Trip to Hollywood

Back in June, I had a week off of work as my boss was off on vacation. Week off called for... adventure time with my mumsy! We took a day trip to Hollywood to go exploring. First stop, Hollywood and Highland. So many stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (not all pictured that we walked across). It was so cool! Literally stopping every few seconds taking pictures of the stars. The TCL Chinese Theatre (from the outside) was cool too. Actors and actresses had their handprints and footprints in front of the TCL Chinese Theatre. My inner fan girl came out for sure. Knowing that the actors and actresses walked the same area I am walking in was incredible and inspiring for an Asian American girl pursuing a career in the entertainment industry.

My favorite was the Road to Hollywood. It was a path from the bottom of the staircase to the Casting Couch at the end of it. Along the way, you can read the stories of directors, producers, and writers, among others on their journey to Hollywood. Very inspiring. It gave me a sense of hope and fire within me.

Within the Hollywood and Highland shopping complex, we walked around and stopped into a few shops. One had really cute candies, art pieces, and Oscar trophies to look at. A complex with shopping, food, and a sight to see the Hollywood sign from afar.

After that, we headed to get Pink's Hot Dogs. I have to say it is one of the best hot dog places to eat at. We got the Hollywood Walk of Fame Dog, Mushroom Swiss Cheese Dog, and the Fries Topped with Pastrami and Bacon and Nacho Cheese. The Hollywood Walk of Fame Dog was very light and juicy. The combination of the coleslaw and the hot dog was perfect. The Mushroom Swiss Cheese Dog was also great. The fries were okay. A bit spicy and salty. Would definitely recommend going to Pink's for their hot dogs. Great service, a restroom outside to use, and sitting area both inside and outside for customers.

With full tummies, my mom and I went wall hunting. I love finding walls to take pictures of and in front of. I did some research and found four at the same cross-intersection, perfectly killing four stones with one. Unfortunately, two were changed and one was defamed. Only one stayed the same, the Rainbows Wall. A nice way to end our trip in the Hollywood area.

As we drove home, we stopped at Boba Guys for drinks and got the black sesame latte and ube halaya with almond jelly. Both were very light.

A lovely day trip to Hollywood with the mumsy after a week and two days of interning full-time.
