San Diego: Day 2

On the second day at San Diego, the first stop after breakfast at the hotel was... Tuna Harbor! Yes, a place where fishes can be sold actually. There is a fish market there and a seafood market restaurant there. It was being renovated when we were though sadly, couldn't try out the seafood. Nevertheless, the ocean there is lovely. More ocean and sea breezes along the way. And we saw the most famous statue, Unconditional Surrender. You may have seen it, it's the famous statue where a sailor is kissing a nurse. So sweet huh? It was when the people were are overjoyed that World War II ended. The lovely piece was inspired by the celebration in NYC's Times Square, back in 1945. Next to it was the U.S.S. Midway Museum. We wanted to stop someplace else so we didn't go on board. Next time!
After Tuna Harbor and a little more cruising around the Midway Museum, we headed off to Hotel Del Coronado. It was a lovely hotel. The place had the beach so we stopped there as well and got some ice cream along the way. Very creamy, yet delicious. There were little stores there too so we stopped by in some of them, such as candy store and t-shirts store. Then we went to Belmont Park, where there was carnival area and some shops there that we walked into. There were some knick knack shops as well. It was getting a little late, so we headed to eat dinner at Corner Bakery.

The ocean is so nice.

San Diego: Day 1

First week of June and off to San Diego my family goes! The best start of the whole month! Couldn't have asked for a better one. Along our way up to San Diego, we stopped at Blaze for lunch while shopping at an outlet. First time trying Blaze, and it was good! Then we headed back on the road and stopped at La Jolla. It was such a beautiful sight to see! It's been a while since I went to the beach. It was so pretty! The ocean was gorgeous and once you step out of the car, you can smell that saltines in the air. That's when you know you are at the beach! The breeze in your face with the sun out topped it all off. After we arrived at San Diego, we headed out to eat at P.F. Chang's. With a full tummy, we headed off to the mall there. Shopping time!!!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day! Thank you so much Dad, for always being there for me through everything. Even on your bad days, you still manage to get through it and help me out along the way. You're the best father, any girl can ask for. Without you, I wouldn't be the person I am today. Thank you for all the stories with my teddy bears to cheer me up when I'm down and just for fun at times. Enjoy the vegan donuts we got you from Donut Friend! Got to stay healthy, even on this special day Dad! Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there! You are a proud father to someone out there! And Happy First Day of Summer!

Let the World Figure It Out For You

Today I came across a quote on Google+, "You can't control everything. Sometimes you just need to relax and have faith that things will work out. Let go a little and just let life happen." I totally agree. But I disagree too. We definitely don't have control of everything in our lives. We got to let the world decide at times for us. But what if we had the power to control things? To control all that happens? And prevent all the sad things and bad things from happening? Would that be wrong to do? Wouldn't we all live a little happier if we had control of everything? But then again, if we had control of things, life wouldn't throw at us some pleasant surprises along the road. Would it? What about the bad surprises? Won't we all want to change those to good? Who wouldn't? But at the end of the day, everything happens for a reason, whether you know it then or later. Life goes on, it doesn't wait for anyone.

Another Day

It's Wednesday. Finally halfway done with the week! Summer school has been very stressful. With a test everyday almost, two to three chapters each test, my brain is getting fried each day. Luckily, I got the best big sister in the world. My sister decided to take some time and do some new cooking by making lemon herb chicken for dinner. It was different than usual, but quite good. Of course we have to eat our greens so kale was the perfect choice, along with brown rice, healthy. Kale is really good though, if you haven't tried it, you should. I personally fell in love with it after my sister had me try it. And after a hard day's work of reading the chapters, I decided to reward myself with milk and cookies! What better way to replenish my happiness? My diet on happiness is running low lately. Must get it up again!

Sweets

Pizookie time! My big sister decided to make pizookies tonight. First my sister made a batch of cookies from scratch. Then top the cookie off with some ice cream and you got yourself your very own pizookie! It was so good! It was a perfect combo of hot and cold. Homemade desserts are the best! Have a good weekend folks!

Thai House

Hi everyone! (: I'm so sorry for not posting for three weeks. I've been busy with finals toward the end of May as well as inserts and hanging out with friends before they go off to college. Sorry about that! I'll try my best to have a post every two weeks if not maybe three weeks because I'm going to take summer school. Yeah... I know it sucks, but I have to put my academics first and my future. But don't worry! I'll keep you updated! Just a little slower since summer school is more vigorous as the class needs to pack lots of information in one day.
Okay! So two weeks ago my friend and I went to graduation together to see our senior friends off and then we went out to eat. We went to Thai House! My first time! I didn't know what to get to I asked her which would she recommend. I ended up getting Pad Thai, a dish that's pretty known for when you eat Thai food and peach tea. And I have to say it was soo soo good!! I'm a noodle person so it was perfect for me. Have a great week everyone!
