San Diego: Day 2

On the second day at San Diego, the first stop after breakfast at the hotel was... Tuna Harbor! Yes, a place where fishes can be sold actually. There is a fish market there and a seafood market restaurant there. It was being renovated when we were though sadly, couldn't try out the seafood. Nevertheless, the ocean there is lovely. More ocean and sea breezes along the way. And we saw the most famous statue, Unconditional Surrender. You may have seen it, it's the famous statue where a sailor is kissing a nurse. So sweet huh? It was when the people were are overjoyed that World War II ended. The lovely piece was inspired by the celebration in NYC's Times Square, back in 1945. Next to it was the U.S.S. Midway Museum. We wanted to stop someplace else so we didn't go on board. Next time!
After Tuna Harbor and a little more cruising around the Midway Museum, we headed off to Hotel Del Coronado. It was a lovely hotel. The place had the beach so we stopped there as well and got some ice cream along the way. Very creamy, yet delicious. There were little stores there too so we stopped by in some of them, such as candy store and t-shirts store. Then we went to Belmont Park, where there was carnival area and some shops there that we walked into. There were some knick knack shops as well. It was getting a little late, so we headed to eat dinner at Corner Bakery.

The ocean is so nice.
