A Proud Sister

     What is this wall you may ask. It is the wall of educated little kids' nutrition work! My sister has been majoring in nutrition for the past years. This year she got an internship teaching little ones about nutrition and health. I get to see her even more too!! She comes home every week now. With her knowledge and expertise, she will make the next generation without a doubt wiser and care more about their health. She is my inspiration, my role model and I know she will be to many more people. Not just little ones but all the people she has encountered and will encounter in the future. The future is not written, but I have faith that she will make it big in the world. And you can too!! Just follow your heart and see where it goes. It will take you to places you never thought you would walk to.

     Have you ever just wanted to just avoid some people in your life because of what they did to you in the past? But the hard part is... you can't because they have classes with you, are friends with your friends, end up in the same group as you for a project, and the list goes on. I know that feeling, and it's not a good feeling at all. But today, I realized something, I thought about it and why not be the bigger person? Why not be the one who creates the change? It's harder than it looks, to forget all the pain words can do to you. But I think I figured a way to deal with it. 
     Remember that you aren't alone. There are people who are going through the same thing as you. And you don't have to face it alone. You always have your family and friends by your side. No matter what. Don't let them get into your head. Because you're stronger and better than that. You are capable to withhold all of the mean things that are thrown at you. Believe in yourself. It will get better. 
     Yesterday I was volunteering and a girl was having trouble dealing with bullies. She came to me for help and I told her to just ignore them. They aren't worth it. And I told her my story with bullies as well. She listened to every word I said and told me that she defended herself by standing up for herself to them. I'm so proud of her. Don't let people walk over you. Show them you can get right back up without even falling just yet. 
     Show them whose the bigger person. The stronger person. Which is you. Don't let them bring you down ever. 
     

Road Trip!!!

     A week ago, my family and I had a little road trip up north to San Jose for a wedding. It was amazing!!! I fell in love with San Jose! The air was so nice!! The food was really good too!! The people were really friendly as well. It was the best little road trip I ever had!! Even though I had to be in the car for so many hours, it was totally worth it. (: I want to live there one day!! 

     The best part of this trip was... spending time with family. Family is important!! Each moment counts. Treasure each and every moment.

Pumpkin Time!!

     It's that time of the year again folks!! HALLOWEEN'S COMING UP!! WOOT WOOT!! I volunteered today, and the staff decided to have a little arts and crafts activity for the little ones on... PUMPKIN!!! Their little faces all lighted up. That's the best part of volunteering, seeing the smiles on their faces. It brings me back to the good old days when I was little and carefree. BUT when the little ones remember you from the previous time you volunteered and give you a big hug, that feeling is just priceless. It makes my day every time.

Smile everyone! It's a beautiful thing. (: One smile to another can mean so much more than you think. It can brighten up someone's day. AND it gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling on the inside. Sweet and simple! It doesn't cost anything either! haha. It's the best gift anyone can give someone. It just takes some muscles to pull it off. No biggie!
