March Food Outings

It is almost the end of March. Ahh! Time flies. From 250 something days of something to 37 days of school. Graduating real soon. I can't believe it. This month has been a crazy emotional roller-coaster. But first. Guess what? I got into the business honors program that I interviewed for!!! AHH! I was super duper happy that day. I felt like a fluffy cloud that couldn't lower in the sky, only can soar higher and higher. It felt surreal.
Some of the food adventures I went to this March would be Japanese Bistro Kosuke, Pho, Hooshik, and Din Tai Fung. There is a bao picture, and these are the baos I came home to see. My sister and mom went to Arcadia, just for those baos. They were good! All these foods were good! New places I went to except Hooshik.
I went to Hooshik this past week with my college friends who are free. It was really nice catching up with them for about four hours. Lots to talk about. It was a wonderful night. I stayed up really late that night too because of the choice of the falling snow I choose to celebrate my late birthday. I chose Stumptown. I should have chose Green Tea, but new is good. We all should try new things or something different all the time. Next time, I'll try the green tea one. Never tried it.
Spring break has started on a good note, but lots to do still. Have a great week everyone!

Sisterly Date

Lovely Sunday well spent with the bigger sister. She woke me up around 8 something and I actually woke up! Even when it was Daylight Savings time change too! We headed to Long Beach. First stop, Mimi's Cafe. I got a crepe, my first time! It was yummy!!! It was so fluffy and soft. After that, we went to Trader Joe's and Target.
Then next stop, MOVIES! We bought tickets for Zootopia, a Disney movie that recently came out. It was so good! I cried a few times. It was touching, funny, and cute. I liked the story plot a lot. It got you on your toes all the time. You never know what will happen. The overall message was telling people to never give up, don't let people stop you from pursuing your dreams, and try everything, even if you fail. I really liked these messages. They're great to teach little kids and they made me think about where I am in life, as I'm heading off to college soon. Lots of choices to choose and lots to think about. The movie got me thinking about my major and what I want for my career.
Heading back home, we decided to take one more trip even though it's farther from home to get a drink. Crazy huh? But I rarely get to go out so we had to treasure it all the way! Off to Zero Degrees we went! We tried the Berry Milk. It was definitely berry good! Get it? Haha. It wasn't too heavy or too sweet. Just right.
Definitely a day well spend. Thank you big sis for taking me out!
Have a good week everyone! Happy Pi Day and Happy International Napping Day!

Rainbow Friday

Friday! It was a good Friday, with a rainbow at the end of the storm of rain. I didn't see a rainbow actually, but it turned out to be a good day. I was able to go on the loft in the shop during my tech class for the first time. I never been up there before because it's dirty and messy. Lots of webs on the side of it too, but I went anyways to get some work done. Yay! First time! I'm probably never going back either, cause it's scary standing up there. It doesn't feel safe.
Next stop, Fullerton. I had my interview, and it was pouring cats and dogs. Only when we are driving there and during my interview time. Hopefully I get in! After that, we headed to Mr. Katsu to buy food for dinner. It was so so good!!! We bought two originals, two Yakisoda, one potato balls, and Sumi salad. The sandwiches are SO big!!! We each ate half of one of the sandwiches. We were so full. The bread was really good too. It was Texas toast. Really good. It wasn't too greasy either. We saved the rest of the food for the following day, today actually. Definitely a great stop to go to if I go to Fullerton for college.
Then when we heading home, we saw two peacocks! So pretty and tiny! So so nice to see them again! And this time, TWO! The sun was beautiful too. It was a beautiful orange-yellow yolk in the sky. Sadly, I didn't get a picture of that, but it was just priceless to see. It was so big in the sky. Too hungry!! Good day.
       Have a great weekend folks!

Driving Time

Vroom, vroom, vroom. I drove today! I drove from home, to nursing home, to Walmart, and then back home. It was fun. I'm getting more use to the CRV we have. I had a hard time adjusting from my driving instructor's car, which is a Toyota. The pedals are different as Toyota's stiffer than Honda's. Nevertheless, I'm back on the road to practice before driving test inches closer by. It's been a while since I drove because of the musical production. I'm happy I'm back on the road. It's fun yet scary to drive at the same time. When I was younger I loved the clicky noise of the turn signals. I don't know why, but I love how it clicks and when you finish the turn, it's gone. I'm odd huh? BUT I still like it. Haha.
Hopefully everyone is doing well. The end of February and beginning of March have been hectic for me. I'm back blogging and I apologize for posting twice in one day!
This week I got an interview for college. Ahh! Wish me luck. I'll do my best. Have a great week everyone! Hope the ladies out there had a nice International Women's Day yesterday! Happy first day of February on Lunar calendar!

Hairspray

Hairspray, Hairspray, Hairspray! It's been less than four weeks since the cast, crew, and orchestra were all in the auditorium rehearsing. Crazy how time flies. In the following pictures are the journey throughout this journey of mine through my first and last musical. This has definitely been a wonderful experience for me. Hairspray is my first and last musical in high school that I was able to be a part of. I can't thank my teachers enough for letting me be the light board operator for this musical. It has definitely been a roller-coaster through these past weeks, but with friends and family, it was worthwhile to endure all the restless nights and stressful days. Last show got many emotional and for me, I felt as if high school was coming to an end already. This production is one of the highlights of my senior year. The days after at school, we got to strike the set, meaning take it apart and recycle the wood pieces we can still use for future shows. Many set pieces we did not take apart because we are lending them to another school to use. I took tons of pictures with the set pieces. I miss the musical already. Hairspray, you are timeless to me.

Rehearsals call for pictures!

Opening day, for lunch I was able to eat out with my mom and sister at the newest and latest hit place in Pasadena, Tatsunoya.

Mmm mmm good!

We got food from Veggie Grill for dad and chocolate pudding to go as well! It was so good!

Opening night! Some people on stage crew went to The Hat. This is my first to eat these fries!

We ate macarons for dessert at home! From Lette!

My favorite was the coconut one.

The stage view of the lights on when I press the light cue.

I was able to be Tracy for a bit to test out the blanket so we can put the blanket onto the bed before show starts.

Mommy made my favorite! It's called Nian Gao, also known as sticky rice cakes.

I had to fix some source4 lights when I channel checked to make sure the lights worked properly for the show. Therefore, I went to the catwalk to fix the lights at times. It's hot and scary up there!

It rain on Saturday. It looked so cool! You can see the rain coming down when you are close to the lights.

Streams of water coming down.

Closing night we got flowers for the seniors. I got one too, and it was so pretty! Thank you to my stage manager for buying them!

The jail cell... It was very hard to build this. At the end, it came out nicely.
