Foodie Holidays

Happy New Year's Eve everyone! It has definitely been a crazy 2015 for me. You guys? I like to thank you all first before I say anything else for supporting me and reading my blog posts. (: Thank you!
For the past weeks I had to eat clear and plain food because of my surgery. BUT a month passed and so I'm free! I get to eat eggs and seafood and all the other goodies I have missed out on. Yay! Some of the places I went this winter break are Shin-Sen-Gumi and headed to Sweet Heart Dessert House. Ramen and cold dessert. Perfect combo for the cold weather huh? After that, another trip to a wonderful place called Disney on Ice to see Frozen! It was a great show! It was so funny how they separated Olaf like in the movie, so he was a head and a body. And the body was moving on its own! After the show, we walked to the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center. Pretty lights!
Off to a three girls bonding date with mom and sister. My sister took us to Russell's for breakfast, Afters Ice Cream, and Blackball Dessert. My first time for all three! That was a great day.
One night, my mom made tomato pork chop rice for dinner. It was really good! Crazy good food this month!
Squeezed in three posts in one day. A new record for me. Good way to end 2015, 2016 here I come.

Float Decoration

It's that time once again. Float decoration. Rose Parade. I went with my friend, Sandy, and despite it wasn't the greatest first day we volunteered, second day made up for it. On the first day, we got stuck washing the paint brushes. Some people came and dropped off more instead of washing their own. We washed for about 3 hours. Not fun. It was my friend's first time volunteering. I felt so awful to give her such a terrible experience. Luckily, some ladies that work there realized we were working way too long outside washing those brushes and moved us onto the float. I was able to decorate the inside of the castle on Downtown Abby float.
The second day, we got to work on the Singpoli float, with the breathing dragon. It was fun! Definitely a better experience for my friend. We put glue on the flowers and later got to put them on. That's my favorite job. I'm glad my friend came with me so we can bond more. I can't wait to see all the floats tomorrow!

Reunited

Monday. Tech group day. Finally got to catch up with our little group of five. It was hard to find a day and time, but we managed in four days. Woot woot! We decided to go bowling at Round 1 and then after we headed to Chelo Creamery. It was super duper fun! I haven't bowled since forever. The last time, I used bumpers. So... it's been a while. I wasn't too bad. Several gutter shots, but it was still really fun. I tried the Cactus Bloom when we went to Chelo Creamery and we bumped into two other friends. We drove in a circle to find the ice cream place. We even got lost going home. But we did it together. Lost and scared together. We came out alive though! Don't worry. I can't wait for more adventures with my lovely group of friends this coming year in 2016.

Sister Date

Happy Holidays everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas day. May each and every one of you have wonderful adventures and joy during the holidays. Today I went with my sister to City of Industry. Stopped by at Jazz Cat for some shabu shabu. We shared a regular and then we headed out for Chelo Creamery. First time! For the both of us. It was really good. We got the Good Zooky. The green tea and the red bean was perfect together. Topped with the mochi. Delicious! It was a great little adventure with my big sister. I will take her out and drive once I get my license. For now, I must ask her to drive me places, but the tables will turn. Real soon!

Foods, Foods, Foods

It has been about one month since I have tried these two beautiful deserts and had one last Hanashima run. I'm missing so much foods at the moment! Must cut back on certain foods because the nurses said so. Oh wells. I will be able to eat them all soon enough! They will be waiting for me to stop by to eat them again! ^-^ I tried Hooshik and Kung Fu Soy for the first time a few days before surgery. At Hooshik, my mom and I ordered the Red Bean Milk Falling Snow and at Kung Fu Soy, we got the Shaolin #4, Tofu Pudding. They were delicious! It was cold that day, but it was worth two dessert runs! The day before surgery, I had to stop by Hanashima. I like Japanese food, and it's been a while since I went there.

To the End of Another Chapter

November 4, 2015

It's been a month and six days since I last posted. Sorry my fellow readers! I've been busy with college applications, tests, and surgery. Yup, you read it right, surgery (this was the thing I was referring to back in my Oct. 15 post). I'm still recovering at the moment, but I'm getting better each day! It's going to take about a month more, but I got this! I will be okay. No need to worry! I'll be back on my blog soon enough. I apologize for not notifying you guys sooner. It's been a crazy month in November. Deadlines, decisions, and choices. Plus school. And of course, surgery. There was a lot to deal with this past month.
BUT December has started on a good note! I got accepted to CSUF! My first college acceptance. I was so excited, I didn't believe what I was reading. I read it to my dad to check, and then I showed it to my sister as well. It felt so surreal. I felt as if a burden has been lifted off of me. Getting accepted to at least one college. Check. I'm going to college! It was one of the nicest little gifts to receive during this hard time.
Hopefully everyone is starting December on the right note as well! Nineteen more days til Christmas. Twenty-five more days til the very end of the month. Meaning one thing: 2016. Ahhh! Excited for the new year, but it's crazy how fast time is going. Enjoy the rest of 2015 everyone!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone!! Yesterday I went to my school's Haunted Auditorium and I screamed throughout most of it. It was so fun! My very first and last one I'll attend in my high school career. Another memory I can add to my senior year I would not forget. I finally got to be brave and go through it. I was scared even though I walked through it when I was in my tech class. Little things scare me. It was definitely worth it to go. Have a great Halloween! Dress up and be safe! Have fun on this very last day of October. This month went by fast, and it'll be January before we know it. Take it easy, don't rush, and enjoy every moment.

Reality Check

Yesterday, came out of my house to see this beauty staring right back at me. The sky looked so fake. It looked like a piece of artwork. It felt as if I was inside a painting as I turned around to see the sky, the sky was entirely made of fake looking clouds. The sky may seem fake, but it was most definitely not fake. Sometimes whether you like it or not, you got to face reality. You can't hide behind a teddy bear anymore and face it. That's what I had to do yesterday. I had to face knowing I had to do something very important that's coming up real soon. It's something I don't want to do, but if I want to be better, to be pain free, I must do it. More on that in another post. I just want to say, sometimes we need real life to hit us back to earth to see we can't always live in fantasy, in dream state any longer. It's when the fake looking clouds in the sky turns into gray dark clouds that poured rain onto earth for probably less than five minutes yesterday. We must face reality. No matter how hard it may be to take in.
I hope everyone had a good National Dessert Day yesterday! Happy National Grouch Day. Only be grouchy for this one day. Put on a smile for all the other days. Smiling makes a person happier.
Thank you to all the readers out there who kept up with my blog. This is my 100th post, and I'm really excited to keep posting and reaching my other 100s posts in the future. Thank you to all of you who followed my journeys throughout the years and my little life reflecting posts. You guys mean the world to me. Thank you! (:

Conflicted

Senior year... Everyone says it flies by... It does. But no one said it was going to be one of the hardest years in a person's high school career. So many decisions to make, so many opportunity costs, so many deadlines, so many projects a person wants to do before high school ends, so many things going on, so many ideas and tasks in someone's head. The list goes on. There's so many things to do, but so little time. Stressing over everything, even the littlest things. The only things that get me through this year so far are:

1.) Music. I've been listening to High School Musical songs. Yes. I'm weird, but the old songs are probably the best songs a person can find comfort in. Those are the songs a person growing up listened to. Listening to HSM songs suits this time perfectly because I'm a senior who just wants things to slow down. I listen to Tyler Ward's music lately as well and Tiptoe by Imagine Dragons. All very good songs. I just need some escape tunnel from school and life in general.

2.)  Blogging. There are so many times I have the urge to blog. To write how I feel at the moment. But there's so much to say sometimes. I'll be on and off on blogging for the next two months because of.. college applications. BUT don't worry. I'll come back for my readers and followers. Love you guys!

3.) Reading quotes on Google+. I stopped for a while, but I picked up my old habit since last year again today. Feels good to read some encouraging words or quotes that relate to oneself at the moment. But too much makes a person think too much. I have to resist myself from reading too many. Or else I would overthink and overthinking is my specialty.

4.) Talking to friends. It's always nice to be able to share one's thoughts, feelings, stories, and problems with people who understand and care. Don't bottle all of it inside. It's not healthy for anyone.Ever.

5.) Pause and just reflect. Sometimes we just need to stop and let ourselves really soak up what's happening as of now to know where we are. It's scary how fast time goes by. Before I know it, it'll be 2016. I write in a journal to reflect my day at night. It doesn't have to be always, but it's nice to think about how my day went and see what I still need to work on or want to work on.

6.) Hugging my gray bear. I'm a child at heart. I need my loving huggable bear from time to time. It helps me. It makes me feel less alone and comforted.

7.) Watching movies or shows. Yes! Escape reality. What better to do that than to watch movies and shows?!? The best!

8.) Sleep and eat. Two of my favorite things. Sleep. The thing that allows me to forget things for just a bit. Eat. What I do when I need comfort, when I am sad, when I am happy, when I am in every emotion and mood out there. My two ways to escape for a bit.

9.) Walks and showers. These are the best ways to just think and look at life. It can clear a person's mind or make it even more conflicted with all the decisions in life.

No matter what I do, or what you may do if you are conflicted as well, just know take it a day at a time. Take it easy. Time may slip through our fingers, but if you rush everything or panick through life, you won't enjoy anything and miss out on a whole lot more than you think. Being conflicted is part of life. Senior year may be a huge roller coaster, but I know I'll come out of it just fine. Real soon.

Walking On The Road To...

I do not know where my feet will take me. He does not know where his feet will take him. She does not know where her feet will take her. That is the truth. Life is full of surprises down the road. Lots of bumps in the road, no road a person takes is smooth. There is always rocks and pebbles in our path to trip us over, to make us think what should we do. No matter what happens, know to come back to one's roots, one's home. Home is where a person will find his or her family and friends to support him or her in the journey of adventure. Adventure is scary, but without it, there will not be any fun. Explore and see what direction life goes into.

Another Week Down

In the middle of September. This week went by fast and slow. Rehearsals are starting to become longer hours as we inch closer to the day of production performance. Actors have to be off book, getting their blocking down. Tech theatre students have to finish the set, attending work call days. The theatre is part of my senior year, part of my entire high school career. I am very glad to say it has been with me all these years. It's really been a pleasure to be able to work more with theatre this year. Through tears and stress this week, I managed a great Friday.
I got to volunteer on Friday, and I was greeted with a little boy that I know for two years with a hug. I waved and said "hi" to some of the kids and two little girls waved back and smiled. Those smiles melted my heart. One little girl wanted to show me her cups tower after it was built each time she stacked them. At least I saw the final piece before it came crumbling down. The other little girl who waved at me drew a drawing for me. I stopped by a few times to see what she was drawing and compliment her, and when she was done, she gave it to me. I literally felt so touched at that very moment. I rarely get any drawings from little kids, and to receive one is such an honor and a moment I'll never forget. It brings a smile to my face every time I think about it.
Towards the end of the day, I had last minutes plans with my friends to support our other friend, Lauren, performing in Foreign Exchange at the Mosaic Lizard Theatre. It was my first time going to her productions because other times, it would always collide with my schedule. This time I had some time, and boy the production was splendid. It really captivated me into the story, and I found it really amazing how someone can create this piece. It was an original piece. It was absolutely amazing. Full of comedy and laughs. Something I needed to end my week on.
A great note to end my week.

The set in the making in progress.

Blurred Vision

Not every vision, idea, and emotion is clear. Just like life, it can be blurry, no sense of direction. Sometimes we cannot see what is the right decision or the right path to take. All we can do is take a risk and see where it leads us. It will be a different journey than the other path, but either path, we will have an adventure along the way to get where we want. Nothing is perfect, just go with the gut feeling and see where it takes us. Sometimes the best choice is the one no one would have chosen. Take that risk and see.

Aloha Friday

Ohana means family. There are days we all need a family hang out day. Today was one of those, as I call it, Aloha Day. I spend my lunch with my mom and sister at Aloha Food Factory. It was a really nice cozy food place, but the wait is long. It took half an hour for our Macadamia Nut Pancakes to come. We also ordered Kalua Pork Plate and Bacon Fried Rice. They were all so very delicious. I loved the cream on the top of the fluffy pancakes. It was a great combination of sweet on fluffiness. The Kalua Pork Plate was very good too, especially with the side of cold macaroni salad and the pork was excellent. The Bacon Fried Rice was a nice dish as well. The wait was a bit long, but I would say it's worth it. First time here. The lady at the register said that come by before or after lunch on the weekdays. It gets crowded easily because there isn't many tables in restaurant. But one can always order take out. All in all, it was a great way to start my afternoon. Have a good weekend folks!

The Habit

Friday calls for a stop at The Habit. After school ended, my sister took my mom and me out to eat. This is my first time trying this place, and I have to say fries taste so good! I haven't eaten fries for so long. The fries were really good! Same goes for the burgers. And don't forget... yam fries! They are good too! Must make it the habit to go to a burger joint a few times a year. Have a great week everyone!

D23 Expo 2015

Calling out to all the Disney Fans! Anyone a Disney lover? I know I am! A little less than two weeks ago, my family and I went to D23 Expo. It was amazing! Despite all the crazy lines this year, it was still a very fun day with my family. My sister and I got to see the stars that we mainly wanted to see. We watch some of the ABC Family shows and were so glad we got to see the cast of Stitchers. I was so happy when I saw them. I watched the premiere episode at San Diego, and I would watch the rest when I have free time, but I was busy, taking summer school. Nevertheless, I was able to catch up by reading the episodes on Wiki! We saw other famous people too. Some included YouTube stars, such as Chester See and AJ Rafael. It was so cool! I got to see AJ sing some Disney songs too. It was amazing. It was yet another great experience, as well as a good start of my senior year. Below would be some of the many pictures I took at the convention center. Enjoy!

Finally here!
